Maria Maniadaki, Supreme Court Lawyer, registered in Chania Lawyers’ Bar Association
I was born and grew up in Chania. My parents are both teachers. I graduated from the Classical High School of Chania and I took the Degree of Law from the School of Law, University of Athens. I also attended post-graduate studies in European Law in the School of Law, University of Hanover, Germany, and I have the title of Magister Legum Europae (MLE). I have attended many Summer Universities abroad concerning Law and a lot of conferences in Greece and abroad. I live and work in Chania as a Lawyer since 2004. I have also been a teaching assistant in the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, Branch of Chania, School of Natural Resources and Environment, teaching Environmental Law Courses from 2003 till 2011. Today apart from being an active lawyer, I work as a Coordinator of the Programme LIFE14/GIE/GR/000026 with the title “Promoting awareness of wildlife crime prosecution and liability for biodiversity damage in NATURA 2000 areas in Crete”, intending to expand further my scientific interests. I speak English and German fluently, and I also have a good command of the Russian language.
